Shenandoah Sluggers Rising 13U – Tryouts

The Shenandoah Sluggers Baseball Club is excited to announce tryouts for our 13U team for the upcoming season. As a program, our focus is simple—develop players the right way, compete at a high level, and build young men who represent the game with pride, effort, and respect.

Why 13U Matters

The move from 12U to 13U is one of the most important transitions in a player’s development. It’s where the game begins to truly change. This transition challenges every part of a player’s game, and at Sluggers, our goal is to prepare players to not just handle that transition—but to thrive in it.

13U Coaching Staff

Alex Salesky will be joining the Sluggers 13U coaching staff for the upcoming season. Alex brings a high-level playing background from Alvernia University, where he was a two-year team captain, a three-time NCAA Tournament participant, and a key contributor to a conference championship program. A decorated catcher, he earned multiple All-Conference and All-ECAC honors while setting school records behind the plate.
His coaching experience spans high school varsity, Legion, and youth travel baseball, and he will play an important role in preparing our players for the next level of the game.

Thursday, May 14th | 6:00 to 8:00 PM
Saturday, May 30th |1:00 PM to 3:00 PM

Shenandoah Sluggers Rising 8U - 9U Baseball Development Program

Shenandoah Sluggers is excited to announce our 2026–2027 8U & 9U Baseball Development Program.
This program is designed for motivated young players and families looking to build strong baseball fundamentals through high-repetition drills, structured practices, position-specific development, and competitive local gameplay.
The primary goal is to provide a two-year developmental pathway that prepares interested players to transition into a competitive travel baseball environment by the 10U level, while also developing confidence, leadership, baseball IQ, and a team-first mindset.
Ready to take their game to the next level? If your child loves baseball and is interested in making the jump to travel ball, check them out! Join one of the upcoming sessions, meet the team, and see if the program is the perfect fit.
Participation Dates:
June 5th at 5:30 on Lovettsville Community Park Fields #2 / #4
June 9th at 5:30 behind Round Hill Support Center Fields #2 / #3
June 11th at 5:30 behind Round Hill Support Center Fields #2 / #3
Players should arrive early with baseball attire, glove, cleats, bat, helmet, and water.
8U participation: Players may not turn 9 before MAY 1, 2027
9U participation: Players may not turn 10 before MAY 1, 2027

Rising 12U - Shenandoah Sluggers - Barish

Shenandoah Sluggers Barish Rising 12U is currently looking to fill 1–2 roster spots for the upcoming 2026–2027 season. They are seeking players who are passionate about the game, committed to development, and ready to compete in a positive, team-focused environment.
Participation Dates:
• May 28th at 6:00 PM at Woodgrove Park Field #1
12U participation: Players may not turn 13 before MAY 1, 2027

  • Rising 13U: Born on or after May 1, 2013
  • Rising 14u: Born on or after May 1, 2012
