Shenandoah Sluggers Rising 13U – Tryouts

The Shenandoah Sluggers Baseball Club is excited to announce tryouts for our 13U team for the upcoming season. As a program, our focus is simple—develop players the right way, compete at a high level, and build young men who represent the game with pride, effort, and respect.

Why 13U Matters

The move from 12U to 13U is one of the most important transitions in a player’s development. It’s where the game begins to truly change. This transition challenges every part of a player’s game, and at Sluggers, our goal is to prepare players to not just handle that transition—but to thrive in it.

13U Coaching Staff

Alex Salesky will be joining the Sluggers 13U coaching staff for the upcoming season. Alex brings a high-level playing background from Alvernia University, where he was a two-year team captain, a three-time NCAA Tournament participant, and a key contributor to a conference championship program. A decorated catcher, he earned multiple All-Conference and All-ECAC honors while setting school records behind the plate.

His coaching experience spans high school varsity, Legion, and youth travel baseball, and he will play an important role in preparing our players for the next level of the game.
